Lest We Forget – Digital Collection Day
The Gordon Highlanders Museum, Aberdeen
Wednesday 27th February 2019
10am – 4:30pm

The Gordon Highlanders Museum is hosting a ‘Digital Collection Day’, part of the nationwide campaign, ‘Lest We Forget’, to preserve memories of the First World War.
If you have any items relating to the conflict, such as diaries, letters, photographs, objects or stories that you would be willing to have shared online, bring them along and they will be recorded and added to the freely available online collection.

Lest We Forget is a nationwide initiative, led by the University of Oxford and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, which aims to recognise and record those stories, objects, and memories from the First World War that survive
– not in museum collections or history books – but in the hearts and homes of the very people and families affected.

This Digital Collection Day is hosted by The Gordon Highlanders Museum with the assistance of volunteers at the museum and members of the Bon Accord Camera Club.
The organiser of the event on behalf of Lest We Forget is Peter Bellarby.
Please submit any enquiries to him by email at peterbellarby@pwbellarby.plus.com
