As a child, my father was a keen amateur and had a makeshift darkroom where I would often help with developing and printing black and white film. In later years my photography could best be described as family and holiday snaps and while I bought my first DSLR around 2010, it wasn’t until around 2014 that I started to take photographs for their own sake. However, I realised that I was still taking ‘snaps’ and had a lot to learn. So, in 2018 I joined the Bon Accord Camera Club and in 2019 I took the Open University/RPS course in digital photography. While I don’t think I have a particular style, I particularly like black and white photography.
