Alan MacLeay

I’ve been taking photographs for nearly 40 years but I’m still learning and still trying new things. My favourite subjects are wild landscapes and wildlife. Never happier than when out in the great outdoors.

David Watson

I have been a member of Bon Accord Camera Club for about 20 years and enjoy the opportunities the club gives me to display my photographs and mix with like minded people. I like getting out and about with my camera and my photography takes me to interesting places I otherwise would probably not have gone to. My camera gives me the perfect excuse to plan a trip to somewhere near or far and allows me to save some memories of the places I have been to.

George Gray

I come from a family of photographers but I didn’t really get into it until I started working overseas and photography gave me a great way of recording memories. On my return back home I decided that I would like to improve my skills and joined Bon Accord Camera Club who are a very vibrant cub and over time my skills and knowledge have increased greatly with the help and assistance of the many experienced members.

Currently I do not have a particular genre that I like, I am interested in taking good decent photographs and I am happy to have a go at anything. I have included here a selection of images that I have taken in the past and hopefully you will enjoy looking at them.

Euan Fraser

I have been a member of Bon Accord Camera club for around 5 years. However I have been a keen photographer for over 30 years. Initially I used slide film, but now like most photographers I use digital, with all the advantages that brings, including post processing. I enjoy all types of photography and showing my photos either at club nights or through flickr at euan_pics. I hope you enjoy my images.

Alistair Martin

I have been interested in photography since the 1960s when I was given a Diana 120 roll film camera. My first SLR was a second hand Olympus OM20 with 50mm standard lens, and I moved on to the new technology of auto-focus in the mid 1990s with a Canon EOS550N with 28-80mm and 75-300mm lenses.

My interest increased with the development of digital capture and resulted in me buying a Canon EOS 20D, which Canon claimed to be equal to high quality film capture. I am currently using a Canon EOS 5D Mk IV for visible light and have had a Canon EOS 50D converted for infrared light.

Alan Cairns

Since a young age I have always been interested in photography (for those that remember them, I gained a CSE in Photography at Secondary School !) but I always tended to be a photographer that took photos as a secondary activity to something else. A few years ago I decided to take it a little bit more seriously and looked to improve my skills both in camera and with post processing (which at that point was nil)
Joining BACC has enabled me to look more objectively at my photo’s and the tuition sessions we have are a great help, especially with the post processing, and also good fun with like minded people.

Kevin Flanagan

As a child, my father was a keen amateur and had a makeshift darkroom where I would often help with developing and printing black and white film. In later years my photography could best be described as family and holiday snaps and while I bought my first DSLR around 2010, it wasn’t until around 2014 that I started to take photographs for their own sake. However, I realised that I was still taking ‘snaps’ and had a lot to learn. So, in 2018 I joined the Bon Accord Camera Club and in 2019 I took the Open University/RPS course in digital photography. While I don’t think I have a particular style, I particularly like black and white photography.
